Buccaneers have lofty goals as they kick off camp

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — The four-time defending NFC South champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers have lofty goals entering the franchise’s 50th season.
They want to celebrate their golden year with their third Vince Lombardi trophy. Every team hopes to win the Super Bowl, of course, but it’s more realistic for some than others.
Count the Buccaneers among those who should be considered legitimate contenders even though they don’t get much attention. Tampa Bay is tied with Chicago for the 14th-best Super Bowl

Whose politics canceled Stephen Colbert?

Stephen Colbert is at the center of a conspiracy theory.
It was born last week, when news broke of CBS canceling Colbert’s late-night talk show.
The network’s move wasn’t hard to understand:
“The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” reportedly loses $40 million a year, and Colbert is already in the final year of his contract.
Viewership for all the late-night gabfests is evaporating; there’s no recovery in sight.
Colbert is number one in his timeslot, but his show costs $100 million a year to produce

While the state’s sports fans were focused on The Basketball Tournament’s matchup between the WVU’s alter ego named Best Virginia and Marshall’s named Herd That, Baker was crossing the T’s while dotting the I’s as he tried to solidify his coaching roster which previously had seemed to be built on a foundation of Jell-o.
