TVMS JV girls claim victory over Pendleton County, 36-21

MILL CREEK — The Tygarts Valley Middle School girls basketball squad split games against Pendleton County Monday at Weber-Wamsley Court.
The junior varsity squad claimed a 36-21 win as Gavvy Arbogast scored 14 points and Bridget Wratchford chipped in nine.
The Lady Bulldogs fell in varsity matters by the score of 44-9.
Brooke COle had four points for Tygarts Valley, which returns to action Jan. 7 at Green Bank.

Mail will be delivered on Christmas Eve

ELKINS — Despite some local confusion over a new presidential executive order that makes Christmas Eve and Dec. 26 federal holidays, the United States Postal Service will still make deliveries on those days, the agency states.

Bernice May Row Williams

Mrs. Bernice May Row Williams, 88, a resident of the Weaver Community, went home to be with her Lord Saturday Dec. 20, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born Jan. 6, 1937, at Junior, West Virginia, a daughter of late Raymond Francis Row Sr. and Nina Freeman Row. On July 14, 1953, she was united in marriage to Marshall S. Williams, who survives at their home.

Hundreds mourn Brown University student killed in campus shooting
