Stability?

A measure of economic stability oftentimes — but not always — is continuity.
But many companies are slamming shut the door regarding continuity, and how that will play out is a big wait-and-see question that will take a few years for an answer to be delivered, or at least a trend to be indicated.
One bottom line, though, is that employees of an increasing number of companies are feeling uneasy about what might come next and whether it will be good or bad for them.

Hints From Heloise

Using ‘proper’ American English
Dear Heloise: What has happened to proper grammar usage and the proper pronunciation of American English? “Gonna” and “wanna” have replaced “going to” and “want to.” People use “different than” instead of “different from.” Words such as February, mischievous, veteran and temperature are constantly mispronounced by TV journalists, weather reporters and politicians.
Unfortunately, we are judged by our vocabulary when we speak, which makes people form instant

WVU women cruise past Oklahoma State in Big 12 tilt

MORGANTOWN — Mark Kellogg stopped short of calling No. 19 West Virginia’s 72-40 victory against Oklahoma State any type of statement win.
“I don’t know if we would ever use the term ‘statement win’ ever,” the WVU head coach said. “I don’t know that would ever come out of my mouth.”
Oklahoma State head coach Jacie Hoyt knew exactly what to call it.
“There’s not a whole lot to say, that was pretty much a good old fashioned butt kicking,” she said.
At the very least, the Mountaineers (22-6, 12-4
