Curtis Elwood “Peanut” Sites, 93, of Petersburg, West Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg.
Peanut’s family will receive friends on Thursday May 22, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, West Virginia.
Funeral services will be on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 11 a.m. from Schaeffer Funeral Home.
Interment will be in the Ours Family Cemetery, Rough Run, West Virginia, with military honors.

ELKINS — Camp Pioneer in Beverly will be the home for one of the state’s Almost Heaven Swings thanks to funding from The Randolph County Commission.
“These are those big wooden swings that you see at the base of the Capital and other places around the state,” Randolph County Commission President David Kesling said. “We are looking at putting one on at the 4-H Camp since the county owns the property there. We are looking at putting it around the pond area.”
