MASON COUNTY, W.Va – Nscale continues its development of a data center project at the Monarch Compute Campus in Mason County after hosting a job fair on Tuesday.
The fair brought prospective employees together with employers involved in data center construction and operations, including Ames Construction, Kiewit, Boyd CAT, and Nscale. Education and training partners like Marshall University, WVU, and Mountwest Community & Technical College were also part of the event.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A driver is dead after an early morning accident involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle in Kanawha County.
Deputies responded to the crash around 3:40 a.m. on U.S. Route 60 east bound in the Charleston area.
Both vehicles have heavy damage and the driver of the passenger vehicle was dead at the scene.
The crash closed down US Route 60 as crews work to clear the roadway.

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A Harrison County man was sentenced Tuesday to a life prison sentence with a chance for parole in the death of his mother.

George Alexander Hoffman, 24, of Lost Creek, previously pleaded guilty to first degree murder with mercy in the stabbing death of Selestine Hoffman Kunkel, 53, also of Lost Creek.
The two lived together.
Hoffman will have a chance for parole in 15 years.
He was sentenced Tuesday by Harrison County Circuit Judge Christopher McCarthy.
