WV Health Right to receive $250,000 in opioid settlement funds as part of Recovery Month

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Last week, the Kanawha County Commission voted to award $250,000 of opioid settlement funds to West Virginia Health Right for their recovery programs and services.
Health Right is a non-profit organization that gives healthcare access for under protected residents in the state and has several programs in place to reach out to those battling addiction to help them get back on their feet.

One injured in Kanawha County crash

MINK SHOALS, W.Va. — A two-vehicle accident has left one person injured in Kanawha County.
The crash was reported at around 11 o’clock Sunday morning in the 2000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue near Mink Shoals.
The road near the Dollar General was closed following the wreck but has since re-opened.
Injuries for the victim are not known at this time.

WVU FallFest lineup released featuring Mountain State talent

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The 2025 FallFest line up at West Virginia University is heavy on local talent and scheduled for Monday night at the Rec Center Fields on the Evansdale campus.

Manchin schedules Morgantown stop to introduce his memoir, Dead Center: In Defense of Common Sense

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. — Former U.S. Senator Joe Manchin will release a memoir in September called Dead Center: In Defense of Common Sense.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Marshall’s first fall football camp with new coach Tony Gibson ended Saturday under a hot morning sun at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
