CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The National Weather Service warns rainfall could become intense in some parts of West Virginia in the next 12 to 24 hours.
There are flood watches in place for counties of the southern West Virginia coalfields for this afternoon and tonight. However, Meteorologist Gabe Wawrin with the Charleston Weather Bureau said it’s an alert to just be aware of the weather situation.
