Employees find great optimism at Timet in Jackson County

 
MILLWOOD, W.Va. — Hiring at Timet in Jackson County is expected to ramp up very soon. The plant is to conduct its first pour by the end of the year. Officials say they have about 300 people ready to go to work for the time being. But some are already on board and trained up. They are excited about the opportunities the new facility brings to the area.

Blacksville, the latest West Virginia small town to wrestle with sewer issues

BLACKSVILLE, W.Va. — Sanitary sewer issues in Blacksville are testing the town council and state and local leaders are stepping in to lend a hand.

WVSU receives final approval for four-year cybersecurity program

INSTITUTE, W.Va. — Students at West Virginia State University can now receive a bachelor’s degree in the field of cybersecurity.
The university was officially approved to offer cybersecurity as a major last week. Previously, students at WVSU could only minor in cybersecurity.

WHEELING, W.Va. — The U.S. Small Business Administration is clarifying assistance available for flood victims in disaster areas of Marion and Ohio counties and those who share a border that may have been impacted by Father’s Day flash flooding.
