FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A coordinated law enforcement operation known as “Fayette County Sting 19” led to multiple arrests and significant drug seizures along U.S. Route 19 on Thursday.
The operation, which took place on June 5, was initiated by Fayetteville Police Chief Ty Hogan and included personnel from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, Oak Hill Police Department, Fayetteville Police Department, and the National Park Service.

OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Nicholas County woman was arrested early Tuesday morning after a traffic stop led to the discovery of suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine, along with indications of drug distribution activity.
According to the criminal complaint, the incident occurred around 2:50 a.m. on June 3 when Cpl. J.M. Pauley of the Oak Hill Police Department observed a gold Chrysler sedan traveling well below the speed limit on U.S. Route 19 and drifting onto the white fog line.

MONTGOMERY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Montgomery man is facing a felony charge after allegedly assaulting his wife in a violent domestic incident that left her bloodied and unconscious, according to a criminal complaint filed in Fayette County.
Just before 2 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4, officers from the Montgomery Police Department responded to a home on South Early Street after a juvenile reported that his stepfather, Shane Edward Tackett, was inside hitting his mother.
