Appalachian Outlaw Trails to host groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. –West Virginia’s newest outdoor recreation development is set to host a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday to showcase its progress.
Appalachian Outlaw Trails, located in Belle, will offer 25 miles of trails for ATVs, dirt bikes, side-by-sides, and full-size vehicles as part of an effort to help transform the Upper Kanawha Valley. The development will also feature trailheads, camping areas, event venues, and retail amenities.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Recently-confirmed US Attorney for the Northern District of West Virginia, Matt Harvey, makes it his top priority to continue the fight against the drug epidemic throughout the state.

Benson gives first State of University address, announces long-term goal of getting WVU into AAU

Calhoun County commissioner accused of sexual abusing a child set to resign Tuesday

GRANTSVILLE, W.Va. — The Calhoun County Commission will meet on Tuesday, and on the agenda is consideration of the resignation of commissioner Jacob McCumbers.
Jacob McCumbers
McCumbers, 39, of Arnoldsburg, was arrested on September 13 and charged with 50 counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, or custodian. He was released after posting a $100,000 bail.
A criminal complaint showed that a teenage boy told the State Police Child Victim Unit that he had been sexually assaulted by McCumbers
