CHARLESTON, W.Va. –West Virginia has gotten its April revenue numbers back and they show figures well above the month’s projections.
The state collected nearly $643.8 million, which is $136 million above the estimate.
West Virginia is now $237 million ahead of estimate 10 years into the fiscal year.
The state racked up $284.7 million in personal income tax. According to the state, the surplus was a big factor into that number, which was $88 million above estimate.

MARMET, W.Va. –Assistant Director for Kanawha County Public Libraries Sarah Mitchell says the past month they’ve been focused on continuing library services to the Marmet area as they prepare to close the Marmet Public Library on Friday, May 2nd.
