Kanawha County man facing charges following rollover crash Saturday night

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. –A Kanawha County man has been arrested and charged for allegedly driving under influence and crashing his car, seriously injuring his passenger Saturday night.

Brett Owen Mullins, 21, of South Charleston faces charges of driving under the influence causing bodily injury, driving under the influence of alcohol less than .150, failure to maintain control of a vehicle, improper registration and no insurance.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. –Four students at Ben Franklin Career Center are taking a stand against sextortion following the death of a Kanawha County teenager.

Fairmont to benefit from Congressionally Directed Spending

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — The City of Fairmont has been awarded $1.5 million in Congressionally Directed Spending dollars through the Consolidated Appropriations Act, according to Fairmont City Manager Travis Blosser.

Sunday marks the anniversary of 2025 coalfields flood disaster

WELCH, W.Va. — Sunday marks the one-year anniversary of floods in southern West Virginia which reached record levels in some places and left three people dead.
The Tug Fork River rose rapidly on Feb. 15, 2025 and towns along the waterway from its headwaters near Welch all the way to Louisa, Kentucky felt the impact of the flood.

Marshall struggles to get stops, falls to Georgia Southern, 101-87

Marshall and Georgia Southern engaged in a shootout in their Sun Belt Conference game Saturday night.
It was the Eagles, though, who had the hotter hand throughout the first half as well as most of the second to come away with a 101-87 win inside Jack and Ruth Ann Hilll Convocation Center.
