Henry County Deputies Rescue 106 Dogs from Hazardous Home Conditions

HENRY COUNTY, VA (LOOTPRESS) – In one of the largest animal rescue operations in recent Henry County history, deputies with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services Unit removed 106 dogs from a Martinsville residence after discovering severely unsanitary living conditions.
The welfare check, conducted at approximately 2:15 p.m. at 102 Winnie Lane, revealed dogs confined in kennels and fenced areas outside, while inside the home, deputies found floors and living spaces heavily soiled

Enrollment Declines Across West Virginia Public Schools

WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – Statewide public school enrollment in West Virginia for the 2025-26 school year stands at 234,957 students, down 2.52%from 241,024 in 2024-25 and 6.35% from 250,899 in 2021-22.
