SAINT ALBANS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Authorities in Kanawha County are seeking the public’s help to locate a missing 16-year-old girl who disappeared earlier this week.

Fatal UTV crash in Mercer County leaves one dead, one injured

PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A tragic utility terrain vehicle (UTV) accident in Mercer County early Monday morning claimed one life and left another person seriously injured, authorities said.
The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a UTV crash around 2:10 a.m. near Pisgah Road in Princeton.

West Virginia man pleads guilty to methamphetamine conspiracy

CLARKSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – James Leonard Bailey III, a 41-year-old from Stonewood, pleaded guilty on Monday to conspiring to possess with intent to distribute at least five grams of methamphetamine, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of West Virginia announced.
Court documents reveal that Bailey was found in Harrison County with 32 grams of methamphetamine and a firearm.

West Virginia man admits to federal gun charge

CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Charles Dana Johnson II, a 36-year-old from Cairo, pleaded guilty on Monday to illegally possessing firearms as a convicted felon, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of West Virginia.
The charge stems from a traffic stop in Parkersburg on November 17, 2024, when a law enforcement officer found Johnson carrying a loaded SCCY DVG-1 9mm pistol and a Walther P22 .22-caliber pistol in his waistband.

Ashley Toney, former corrections officer sentenced to prison

BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A former corrections officer from the Southern Regional Jail in Beaver, West Virginia, was sentenced today for failing to intervene to stop other officers from assaulting an inmate, identified by the initials Q.B., on March 1, 2022.
