Dear Heloise: As a professional pet sitter, I have some advice for people who are leaving for a few (or several) days. Your pets will be OK if you remember the following common-sense things to do:
— If your pet is on medication, write out when and how the medication is to be taken. Make sure that there is enough for the whole time you’re gone.

Suspect in shooting of National Guard members facing a first-degree murder charge

WASHINGTON (AP) — Charges against the man accused of shooting two National Guard members have been upgraded to first-degree murder after one of the soldiers died, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia announced Friday.
Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, 20, and Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, 24 were hospitalized in critical condition after the Wednesday afternoon shooting near the White House. Trump announced Thursday evening that Beckstrom had died.

WVU ready to create chaos in the Big 12

West Virginia’s not playing for anything this Saturday. There’s no Big 12 Championship appearance at stake. Morrisey asks for moment of prayer for West Virginia National Guard
