MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — As the NCAA Men’s Soccer Tournament begins Thursday with 16 matches at campus sites around the country, West Virginia (12-4-3, RPI: 21) finds themselves in a similar position to a year ago. The Mountaineers will host St. John’s (9-5-4) in an opening round contest. Kickoff Thursday is set for 7 p.m. at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Ross Hodge scored a significant recruiting victory Sunday as the Mountaineers landed a verbal commitment from Class of 2026 point guard Miles Sadler.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Hours before he was introduced as the new WVU men’s basketball head coach on April 3, Ross Hodge got his first taste of the West Virginia-Pittsburgh rivalry. Shortly after arriving in Morgantown the morning before his first press conference, Hodge stopped by Kendrick Family Ballpark to see the Mountaineers and the Panthers meet on the diamond.
Seven months later, Hodge will lead his Mountaineers onto the court at Hope Coliseum in the 192nd edition of the Backyard Brawl.
