CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The state Public Service Commission announced Wednesday Black Diamond Power’s rates will stay the same while the commission conducts a general investigation into the utility.
“The Commission has received numerous service and billing complaints against Black Diamond, which is based in Charleston but primarily serves customers in Clay, Wyoming and Raleigh counties,” Wednesday’s release said.

HUNTINGONT, W.Va. –A person is in custody Wednesday after a standoff in Huntington.
Huntington police responded to a shots fired report in the Marcum Terrace area and once police arrived a standoff ensued.
The person was inside of an apartment and once SWAT breached the door, the suspect was seen exiting the unit.
No injuries were reported. No other details were made available.

MARMET, W.Va. — A driver is in custody after leading police on a chase from Charleston, through parts of South Charleston and onto Interstate 64 Wednesday morning.
The driver was finally stopped near the Marmet exit on the West Virginia Turnpike where he was taken into custody.
An eyewitness on the Montrose Drive Bridge in South Charleston said the driver drover his car over the concrete median on the bridge–headed several feet in the wrong direction and then got on Interstate 64 heading east.
