CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Ethics Commission has ordered public reprimands on a pair of public officials.
The commission announced Friday that Reedy Mayor Richard Martin is being reprimanded, fined $1,000 and ordered to undergo Ethics Act training for what he did with city money.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The state Bureau of Public Health has identified an increase in pertussis, whooping cough, cases.
The bureau has issued a public health alert.
There have been 126 cases across the state this year. Public Health said the state hasn’t seen that kind of increase in 15 years.
Cases have been identified statewide, with the highest concentration in the western region of the state.
Eighteen percent of the overall cases involving infants. There have been 28 people hospitalized.
