CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Fire crews are using a large ladder truck this morning to battle a fire in an abandoned industrial-type building on Charleston’s West Side.
Flames are shooting through the windows at the corner of Virginia Street and 7th Avenue when fire crews arrived on the scene.
Firefighters said two people were pulled out of windows to safety.
The fire was reported at around 4 a.m.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has told states that they must not issue full benefits to people under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Instead, USDA said in the latest guidance, states must continue to process and load partial benefits.
