Deputies from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department said Shaquille Evans, 32, threw a camping axe at another man during an altercation striking him in the hand. Deputies said the victim suffered a serious cut between the knuckles.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A six year old girl is recovering from a serious head injury after being hit by a car while heading into school. The incident happened about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at Charleston’s Edgewood Elementary School.
