HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Rep. Carol Miller was home in Huntington as the federal government shutdown moved through its sixth day.

Miller (WV-1), by her choice, isn’t being paid her congressional salary.
“It’s just making the point, ‘Don’t pay me. We’re in a shutdown. I’m at home,'” Miller said Monday on MetroNews Midday.
Miller and some other members of the U.S. House are refusing their salaries. U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito has also taken that step.
