Del. Elliott Pritt Facing Federal Charge Alleging Enticement of 15-year-old Girl

CHARLESTON — A state delegate, and public school teacher has been charged in federal court with enticement of a minor, according to court records.
Del. Elliott Pritt, 36, (R-Fayette) appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Dwane Tinsley after being charged in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.

Canadian Wildfire Smoke Prompts Air Quality Alert in Northern West Virginia

CHARLESTON — Northern West Virginia is still under a Code Orange Air Quality Alert as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to drift into portions of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic according to state environmental officials.
The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection issued the alert, warning that air pollution levels could become unhealthy for sensitive groups, including children, older adults and people with asthma, heart disease or other respiratory illnesses.

Arthur Fred Blevins, age 79, of Fairfax, VA, died Thursday, July 2, 2026, at his home. He was born in Marion, VA, on October 24, 1946, a son of the late Arthur Quinten and Charlotte Louise Ferguson Blevins. On July 4, 1971, he was united in marriage to Nancy Sue Bunner Blevins, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter Anna M.
