ALDERSON, WV (LOOTPRESS)  — A Summers County man accused of threatening to hit and kill his mother was allegedly found with suspected methamphetamine when authorities took him into custody days later, according to court documents.
A deputy responded to a home on Clayton-Judson Road near Alderson shortly before 8 a.m. on September 28, 2026, following a report of a domestic disturbance involving Jacob Boone.

Man arrested after witnesses report confrontation at Hinton home

HINTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A man was taken into custody after witnesses reported that he yelled in his girlfriend’s face and pinned her against a wall during an argument at their Hinton home on October 2, according to a criminal complaint.

 ST. ALBANS, WV (LOOTPRESS) — The City of St. Albans will join the St. Albans Area Chamber of Commerce in welcoming Tractor Supply Co. to the community at a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony Saturday, Oct. 10, at 9 a.m.

Armed and dangerous woman wanted for attempted murder following incident at Mercer County saloon

BLUEFIELD, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Bluefield police are searching for a woman considered armed and dangerous in connection with an incident at Wild Riders Saloon early Saturday morning.
According to the Bluefield Police Department, Hallie Graham has active warrants for first-degree attempted murder, three counts of wanton endangerment and malicious assault.

Fayette County man accused of hitting woman in face multiple times, kicking her during domestic incident

FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Fayette County man is facing multiple charges after authorities say a domestic incident in Ansted involved an alleged assault, destruction of a cellphone and preventing another person from leaving a residence.
Timothy Robert Maichle, of Ansted, is charged with third-offense domestic battery, unlawful restraint, interfering with emergency communications and destruction of property, according to a criminal complaint filed in Fayette County Magistrate Court.

2026 trick-or-treat, trunk-or-treat schedule released for Fayette County

FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Communities across Fayette County have announced trick-or-treat and trunk-or-treat events for the 2026 Halloween season, with most traditional trick-or-treating scheduled for Halloween night.
Festivities will begin Oct. 24 with Oak Hill’s Nightmare on Main event from 6 to 9 p.m.
Montgomery will hold a trunk-or-treat event Oct. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by Ansted’s trunk-or-treat event Oct. 29 from 6 to 9 p.m.
