TSA prepared for busy Thanksgiving travel, offers special packing tips

CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at West Virginia International Yeager Airport (CRW) is prepared for a busy Thanksgiving travel period. TSA expects to screen 17.8 million people from Tuesday, Nov. 25 to Tuesday, Dec. 2, with over 3 million just on Sunday, November 30th. TSA projects that the three busiest travel days at CRW will be Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and Sunday after the holiday.

Bankruptcy Filings Rise 10.6% Nationwide, Marking Third Consecutive Year of Increases

WASHINGTON, D.C. (LOOTPRESS)  — Personal and business bankruptcy filings climbed 10.6 percent in the twelve-month period ending Sept. 30, 2025, according to new data released by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts. The increase marks the third straight year of rising bankruptcy activity following a decade-long decline.
In total, 557,376 bankruptcy cases were filed during the period, up from 504,112 filings recorded the year before.

POINT PLEASANT, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Thanks to the West Virginia Nursery & Landscape Association (WVNLA) and hard-working students, the front entrance of the Point Pleasant Junior/Senior High School has received a landscaping enhancement.

SYLVA, NC (LOOTPRESS) — A Sylva man is behind bars after a shocking domestic violence incident Friday morning left a woman’s clothing burned from her body and caused significant damage inside a Chipper Curve Road home.
Police say the call came in at 7:18 a.m. on November 21, 2025, sending officers rushing to 587 Chipper Curve Road for reports of a domestic dispute. What they discovered, investigators say, was a situation that escalated into a life-threatening act of violence.
