BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Governor Patrick Morrisey announced that the West Virginia State Police have arrested 60 illegal immigrants since beginning operations under the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) 287(g) program.

Hinton man arrested after psychedelic drug lab discovered

HINTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Hinton man is facing multiple drug-related charges after deputies say they uncovered a large clandestine laboratory used to manufacture psychedelic substances inside his home.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Summers County, a confidential informant came to the Summers County Sheriff’s Department on October 20, 2025, and provided several photographs allegedly showing a drug lab.

West Virginia man arrested after smearing dog feces in face of special needs man, assaulting deputy

RIPLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Ripley man is facing multiple charges after deputies say he smeared dog feces on an individual with special needs during a domestic incident and later assaulted a deputy during booking.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Jackson County, deputies responded to a residence on Kelli Lane in Ripley around 12:06 a.m. on October 12, 2025, for a reported domestic disturbance.

Marshall University receives $341K to lead workforce initiative for young adults in Appalachia
