Major drug bust in Mercer County called one of the largest in state history

MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Authorities have seized what officials are calling one of the “single largest drug busts in state history” in Mercer County, recovering enough fentanyl to potentially kill 12 million people.
Governor Patrick Morrisey made the announcement in a press conference in Charleston Thursday morning joined by West Virginia State Police and local authorities in Mercer County.

Two dead, others injured in West Virginia house fire

JEFFERSON COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two people were killed and several others injured in a house fire Tuesday morning in Jefferson County, according to the West Virginia State Police.
Troopers said the blaze was reported around 9:03 a.m. at 21 Blackberry Lane in the Harpers Ferry area. Members of the Charles Town Detachment responded to assist local volunteer fire departments and emergency services.

Raleigh County Man Accused of Firing Crossbow at Van, Damaging Property

RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Deputies responded to a shots-fired complaint on September 18 after a woman reported hearing gunfire and rocks being thrown at her home. She told dispatchers that one of the bullets even sounded as though it passed near her head.
Cpl. R. McDaniel was first on scene and determined there was no evidence of gunfire striking the home. However, further investigation revealed the disturbance involved a crossbow and property damage.

Man Charged After Allegedly Brandishing Chainsaw at Beckley Plaza

BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Beckley man is facing charges after police say he brandished and revved a chainsaw during a parking lot confrontation at O’Reilly Auto Parts on September 11.
According to police, officers were dispatched to 307 Beckley Plaza after receiving reports of a man threatening people with a chainsaw. When officers arrived, they identified the suspect as Aaron Kaylor.

Man caught masturbating in parking lot in Beckley

BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Beckley man was arrested on July 19 after police say he was caught masturbating inside his car in the parking lot of Sam’s Club while watching two women.
According to a police report, officers were dispatched to Sam’s Club after receiving an indecent exposure complaint. Witnesses told police a man in an orange Chevrolet Aveo had been following them between multiple stores, including Gabe’s and Walmart, before they spotted him again at Sam’s Club.
