Crash shuts down eastbound I-64 in West Virginia

KANAWHA COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A crash early Wednesday morning brought traffic to a standstill on Interstate 64 eastbound near Charleston.
The incident occurred shortly before 7:45 AM at the 57-mile marker, just west of the Oakwood Road interchange, according to WV 511.

PEIA proposes premium increases for 2026

CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) — Health insurance costs for West Virginia’s public employees are poised to rise again next year under a new proposal from the Public Employees Insurance Agency (PEIA) Finance Board.
The plan calls for an average 3% increase in premiums beginning July 1, 2026, along with an additional $200 annual increase for workers covering a spouse.

MOUNDSVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An 11-year-old girl was safely located Tuesday evening after law enforcement agencies responded to a report of a possible child abduction at the Walmart in Moundsville.
