Pink Party with Cindy & Jean set for Saturday in Princeton to support West Virginia Breast Health Initiative

PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A night of live music, raffles, auction items and more is planned for this Saturday in Princeton, with proceeds benefiting the West Virginia Breast Health Initiative.
The “Pink Party with Cindy & Jean” will be held Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Number 9 Brewing Company, located at 833 Mercer Street in Princeton.

Jan-Care opens EMT training to public as rural communities need more responders

Five packs of cigarettes missing after break-in caught on camera in Wyoming County

STEPHENSON, WV (LOOTPRESS) — Two people were allegedly captured on surveillance video attempting to enter a Wyoming County home before one climbed inside and searched the kitchen, according to a complaint filed with the sheriff’s office.
The homeowner reported the incident September 20, 2026, and provided footage identifying the individuals as Dewayne Allen Shrewsbury and Debra Ann McKinney.
According to the complaint, video recorded around 2 a.m. showed Shrewsbury pulling on the front door.

Tropical Storm Isaias forms in Gulf, expected to become a hurricane Thursday

(LOOTPRESS) – Tropical Storm Isaias has formed in the Gulf and is forecast to strengthen rapidly before approaching the northern U.S. Gulf Coast on Friday, according to the National Hurricane Center’s early Wednesday advisory.
As of 4 a.m. CDT, Isaias had maximum sustained winds of 40 mph and was moving east-northeast at 8 mph. The storm was about 580 miles southwest of the mouth of the Mississippi River.

Raleigh County woman dies following shooting incident in West Virginia

PARKERSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A woman has been charged with first-degree murder following a fatal shooting in Wood County Monday afternoon.
According to the Parkersburg Police Department, law enforcement officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 800 block of Seventh Street, where 35-year-old Jessica Lively, of Raleigh County, had been shot in the chest.
Investigators said the shooting followed an argument between Lively and 33-year-old Samantha Deem.
Deem was arrested and charged
