CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) –  The West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals  unanimously affirmed the second-degree murder conviction of Joshua Marcellus Phillips for the December 1, 2020, fatal shooting of Charleston Police Officer Cassie Johnson.

West Virginia Man Arrested in Connection with Infant’s Death

LEWIS COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Jane Lew man has been arrested following the suspicious death of an infant in Lewis County, according to the West Virginia State Police.
Troopers from the Weston Detachment responded to a residence in the McWhorter area on Sunday, May 25, after receiving reports of an unresponsive child. Upon arrival, authorities began an investigation, and the infant was later pronounced dead.

HARTFORD, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A woman is facing multiple charges after an alleged violent altercation involving a shovel attack, a dog dispute, and unauthorized entry into a home in Hartford, Mason County.

MASON, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A Walmart employee was arrested early Monday morning after allegedly attacking co-workers and threatening a deputy during a chaotic incident at the store on Mallard Lane.
