FAIRLEA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The No. 8 Greenbrier East Spartans came out on top in a hard-fought battle Friday night, defeating the No. 9 Class AA James Monroe Mavericks 29–14 on their home field.
Both teams traded momentum early, but Greenbrier East found its rhythm in the second half, pulling away with key offensive drives and strong defensive stands to seal the win.

Human remains found along dirt road in West Virginia

CABIN CREEK, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after human remains were discovered late Thursday night in the Cabin Creek area.
Deputies were flagged down around 10:45 p.m. by two men who reported finding what they believed to be human remains on a dirt access road near Hill Street and Canady Lane.
