WESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A report of stolen property led to the arrest of a Weston man who now faces charges of petit larceny and assaulting a police officer following a heated confrontation with law enforcement.

JANE LEW, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A tragic incident on Sunday, May 25, 2025, has led to the death of a young child and the arrest of his father following a confession to causing the fatal injury out of frustration.
At approximately 8:59 a.m., Lewis County 911 dispatched law enforcement to 1013 McWhorter Road in Jane Lew in response to a reported cardiac arrest involving a juvenile. Upon arrival, emergency responders were already performing CPR on the child. Officers assisted with transporting the child
