CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The West Virginia Parkways Authority expects 1,065,000 vehicle transactions on the West Virginia Turnpike over the holiday season that began Friday, December 19, 2025.
The 10-day season between Christmas and New Year’s sees some of the heaviest travel on the Turnpike. Turnpike travel estimates include:
Friday, December 19: 119,000 transactions.
Saturday, December 20: 117,000 transactions.
Sunday, December 21: 98,000 transactions.
Monday, December 22: 107,000
